The Spirit of a Runner, will be playing at the upcoming Queens International Film Festival. The screening will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 12 at the Holiday Inn Manhattan View, which is located at 39-05 29th St. in Long Island City. The film will lead off a series of three documentary shorts, the others being Homeless in Hunterdon and No Good Reason. For more information about my film and the screening, click here. I am very excited for the film to be screened in the NYC area (even if the venue is the Holiday Inn... gotta start somewhere, right?), not too far from where the bulk of filming took place, in nearby Jamaica, Queens. While I realize that the time of the screening -- 2 p.m. on a weekday-- isn't very convenient for most, keep in mind that the venue is easily accessible from Manhattan (right over the Queensboro Bridge) and that a 2 p.m. screening could be a great use of a long lunch! Please let me know if you can attend, as I can provide tickets to the first few people who contact me.
